I am eternally grateful for Ginger, for this work, and for the commitment it asked of me. This process wasn't always easy, but for me, it has been one of the most meaningful investments I have ever made in my health and well-being. I would wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone who feels called to explore this kind of work and is willing to meet the process with openness, patience, and intention. Every person's experience will be different, but mine has been profoundly life-changing. For the first time in a very long time, I don't feel like I'm fighting my body. I feel like we're finally on the same team.

I've been trusting the process. We've been laying the groundwork. I trusted your knowledge, your expertise, and your vision, and now I can really feel how impactful and expansive this work can be. This kind of shift in the body must be taken in stride. You have to really speak deeply to it to prepare for this, and you gave it the knowledge, respect, time, effort, patience, and attention to detail it needs to even be possible. I can't tell you how valuable you and this modality are. I feel like I'm ahead of the game with you.

I'm already standing up so much easier and feeling more fluid in my body. My chest feels so much more open and lighter. It's easier to move and breathe. There's space where there was resistance. It feels like a literal weight lifted off my chest. There is more space and less resistance, which is making movement feel more effortless. It feels more fluid. I can also feel my breath reaching more of my body.

My Healing Journey

Taylor B.

Hi, my name is Taylor, and I'm 36 years old.

Just a few short months ago, I couldn't work a nine-hour shift behind the bar without hobbling home afterward. I used to joke with my boyfriend that I needed a walker, and that if I got one, I'd spray-paint the tennis balls different colors just to make it fun.

Looking back, I can't believe I had normalized living that way. Day after day, I pushed through life without really acknowledging that my body wasn't functioning as a whole. It felt fragmented, with different parts compensating for one another while I simply endured the pain.

Everything began to change when my good friend and trusted massage therapist, Ginger Duke, introduced me to a new modality she created. Rather than focusing solely on sore muscles, this work centered around the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds the muscles. Through careful, intentional manipulation, the goal was to release long-held patterns of tension, helping muscles begin working together more effectively again. For me, the work also seemed to create a profound sense of nervous system regulation and balance.

Because I already trusted Ginger's skill, passion, and intelligence, I committed wholeheartedly to the process.

I had no idea what an incredible journey I was beginning.

"This is some new world stuff. The REAL new world, not the false timeline. This is the deep integrated work. THIS is how we heal."

Before my first session, Ginger explained that this was deep work, something that could require significant rest afterward as my body integrated the changes. She observed my posture, gait, and movement patterns, making several observations that were startling to hear. She pointed out that I was dragging my right leg slightly with every step and that my upper body leaned dramatically forward, forcing my back muscles to work overtime simply to keep me upright.

That first session was an awakening.

It wasn't just about physical discomfort. It was realizing how much energy I had spent disconnecting from my body, Despite years of faithfully practicing hot yoga and Pilates, I had unknowingly been pushing through pain rather than truly addressing it, When I wasn't actively trying to "fix" myself, I was simply trying to ignore the constant discomfort living inside my own body.

The second session brought something completely unfamiliar: deep relaxation.

I remember telling Ginger that I felt almost paralyzed, simply because I didn't have better words for what I was experiencing. In reality, I had never known my body could relax that deeply.

Afterward, I drove straight home, laid down in meditation for nearly an hour, quietly observing the sensations moving through my body. Eventually I found enough energy to make something to eat, and then I slept for over four hours, deeper than I can ever remember sleeping before For the first time, I truly felt my body responding.

After the third session came another breakthrough.

I could breathe again.

As Ginger worked around my ribs and core, I experienced not only physical sensations but also strong emotional responses. For me, physical release seemed to coincide with emotions surfacing that I hadn't realized I was carrying. As she encouraged my body to soften and release, I found myself recognizing feelings of despair, pain, and confusion as they arose and gradually passed through.

When the session ended, my breathing felt completely different. Instead of shallow, restricted breaths, I could feel my diaphragm expanding in a way that seemed to reach all the way into my hips. Since then, I've experienced that breathing differently had the potential to influence many other parts of my life, from mental clarity to how I responded to everyday stress.

Session four brought another dramatic shift.

It felt as though my upper body had settled back onto my frame where it naturally belonged, My shoulders rested farther back. Standing upright became effortless instead of something I constantly had to force. There was a sense of flow where I had previously felt only restriction.

This was when my quality of life truly began changing.

At first, the improvements were subtle. Then they became undeniable.

Even before some of the biggest breakthroughs, I texted Ginger:

"This is some new world stuff. The REAL new world, not the false timeline. This is the deep integrated work. THIS is how we heal."

At the time, I don't think I fully understood how deeply I meant those words.

Of course, the process wasn't always easy.

Deep work sometimes brought discomfort, both physically and emotionally. Rather than resisting it, I intentionally created space for what came up. I stretched, breathed, rested, observed, and allowed myself to move through each stage instead of fighting it.

That practice became especially important during the session focused around my pelvis.

I sensed beforehand that it would be significant, and it was.
